TWO BEST GRADES OF CASHEWS.

Goan King W180 Cashews
The undisputed king of cashew nuts. These are not just cashews; they are a testament to the rich heritage and superior quality of Goan produce. Sourced from the lush orchards of Goa, these W180 cashews are celebrated for their exceptionally large size and exquisite taste. The "W180" designation signifies the largest available cashew grade, meaning 170 - 190 nuts per pound, translating to a truly premium and satisfying snacking experience.

Cashew Nuts W210 (Jumbo), Kasuvandi, Kaju.
Cashew nuts are kidney-shaped seeds collected from the cashew tree — a tropical tree native to Brazil. It is cultivated in many parts of India such as Kerala and south india as the weather is suitable for its growth.
Cashew nuts which are rich in nutrients can be eaten any time as a snack. Cashew nuts that are slow roasted are known for its quality and taste and this cashew is one such best quality cashew selected from finest varieties which are crispy and tasty. Cashew W - 210 are mainly known as 'Jumbo' nuts.

BEST GRADE OF Kismis (Raisins)
Best Quality: The best quality raisins are plump, soft, and have a good color. The shade depends on the variety (e.g., golden, black, or green).

Sultana raisins
Appearance: Typically golden or pale green, though their color can be darker depending on the drying technique. They are generally smaller than Afghan raisins.
Taste: Known for their exceptionally sweet, plump, and juicy texture.
Processing: Made from white, seedless grapes like the Thompson Seedless variety. The drying process is often accelerated by dipping the grapes in a solution of vegetable oil and acid. To achieve their characteristic golden color, many are treated with sulfur dioxide.
Origin: Often associated with Turkey and Australia, though the grape variety (Sultanina) is also grown in Afghanistan.
larger Afghan raisins are often sought after for their sweetness and size.

Afghan raisins (Munakka)
Appearance: Come in various forms, including large, plump, brown or black raisins, and long, green varieties.
Taste: Offer a richer, earthier, and more complex flavor than sultanas, with a characteristic sweet and tangy profile. Some varieties are described as having a caramel-like sweetness.
Processing: Traditionally sun-dried for several weeks without any additives, which contributes to their darker color and concentrated sweetness. Many varieties are known for being naturally dried and sulfur-free. Some varieties contain seeds.
Origin: Sourced from the mountainous regions of Afghanistan, known for growing naturally sweet grapes.

Almonds (Badam)

Iranian Mamra Badam: Known as one of the most expensive and premium varieties, Mamra almonds are distinguished by their unique cervical shape, high oil content, and rich, bittersweet taste. For Diwali gifts, these are a top-tier choice that convey a sense of luxury and appreciation. In Kalupur's market, this specialty almond will come at a higher price and is best bought from reputable dealers known for imported dry fruits.
Californian Nonpareil Almonds: This grade is the most common and widely available premium almond in Indian markets. Nonpareil almonds have a pale, smooth skin, a mild nutty flavor, and a satisfying crunch. They are a versatile, high-quality choice suitable for daily consumption and also an excellent option for more budget-friendly bulk Diwali gifts. Their uniformity and good taste make them a reliable crowd-pleaser.

Pistachios (Pista)
Irani Pistachios (Akbari and Fandoghi):
Iranian pistachios are renowned for their delicate flavor, rich color, and satisfying crunch. The Akbari variety is known for its large size, while the Fandoghi is prized for its round shape. These high-grade pistachios are often roasted and salted to enhance their natural flavor, making them a festive and flavorful gift.
Californian Pistachios:
California produces premium-grade pistachios that are also widely available. These pistachios are often larger and have a lighter green color compared to their Iranian counterparts. They are typically sold roasted and salted, offering a consistent and reliable quality that makes them perfect for snacking and gifting.

Walnuts (Akhrot)
Kashmiri Walnut Kernels (Akhrot Giri):
Kashmiri walnuts are highly prized for their superior quality, taste, and high oil content, and are a premium, Indian-grown gift option. The kernels are naturally sweet and have a distinctly rich flavor. Given their fresh harvest and local origin, they are often considered the best choice for Diwali gifts.
Californian Inshell Walnuts:
For those who prefer walnuts with the shell, premium Californian inshell walnuts are an excellent grade. These are handpicked and packed with the hardwood shell intact to retain freshness and crunch. They make for a rustic, satisfying, and high-quality gift option.

Roasted and flavored dry fruits
Masala Cashews and Almonds:
These are a popular, festive choice for Diwali gifting, offering a savory twist to traditional dry fruits. The best grade is made using premium W-grade cashews and Californian almonds, which are dry-roasted and tossed in flavorful masala blends like black pepper, chaat masala, or chili garlic.
Smoky and Spiced Pistachios:
High-quality pistachios, like the Irani or Californian varieties, are often used to create delicious savory, roasted, and flavored dry fruits. They are typically dry-roasted and flavored with salt, pepper, or other festive spice blends. These are perfect for adding a gourmet touch to a Diwali gift hamper.
